Siren - A5 Print

A5 print of the original A3 lino print of my deadly Siren.
The Sirens were mythical creatures of Greek and Roman mythology who were depicted as being half-woman and half-bird. They were fabled to have lived on an island and to have lured sailors to their deaths in dangerous waters with their irresistible song.
One day the muses and the sirens had a sing off to see who was the most talented, the Sirens lost and the muses ripped their wings apart and threw them into the sea.
This is apparently how they became sea dwellers and over the years their image changed to be more like the modern mermaid.
